Default LT1 wires #6 and #8

I did a search here but did not find what others are using for wires in 6 and 8 with headers. The straight boots in the matched sets burn on my headers. Anyone know of a source for a 45 or 60 degree plug boot that will work?

I use the standard straight boots with my Exotic Muscle headers and put heat resistant sleeves around them. They've worked great for the last two years

Been running straight boots on 6 & 8 for close to 10 years with headers, both Hooker shorties and EM longtubes.

They don't clear the TPIS that I have. If I tie them off to one side, it puts too much 'pull' on the boot and I am afraid it will come off. The simple solution, well turning out to be not so simple, is to find a 38" wire with a 45 or 60 degree plug boot. I have spent 2 hours running around town today, plus 3 hours or more on internet and phone to no avail. Honestly, why the heck is there no source for what I seek?

I'm using Taylor wires with no boots, stainless works headers with no issues.
I'll open the hood tonight and see how we routed them.

James, you may be on to something there. I used a taylor with a ford angled boot today but could not be sure of positive engagement with the electrode. I might just eliminate the boot and go with only an aluminum cloth sleeve. (maybe wrap in tape and then the sleeve)
