Default Opti Harness R & R Question

Going to change the Opti 4-Pin Conn. to PCM Harness to see if that will fix my problem.(Suspect Bad Opti) I'm in my FSM pg. 6D4-2
Question??? Can I change out this Harness w/o too much trouble?with everything in place. It connects at 11;00 position on the Opti and I don't know where it goes to on the other end? ? The Coil / ICM Maybe?

Thanx

I would pull plug off opti first. I used a loooong skinny screwdriver to pry back clip on connector and skinny looong nose pliers to pull connector. Then you can probe individual wires with with ohmmeter to individual connector pins to check continuity. I removed right side cosmetic cover over valve cover to expose wiring/connector associated with opti/coil etc. You can back-probe all wires/connectors concerned to be sure it is a opti problem and not a wiring problem. I clean and use dielectric lube on all connectors so reassembly and future disasembly will be easier.

It's very easy to change, just follow the harness. It connects to the engine wire harness halfway back on the passenger side of the intake.

Do I disconnect it going down from the top or jack it up and go in from underneath?

Thanx
