You can pick up a GM Shop Manual on eBay for @ $50
Once you learn how to use it, it is the best manual you could ever want. I love mine, and just used it to rewire my under dash, firewall bilk head and to a new XFI engine management system.
The electrical book has every drawing in the correct color code and laid out so its easy to read and understand. The flow charts that go with the drawings are detailed and easy to follow...
You can;t expect to sucessfully work on a C4 or newer without the 2 book FSM set.
with all previous posts, but will mention another option. A subscription to Alldata will also provide the wiring diagrams if you need them quickly and the price is less than $30 annually.
I prefer having the FSM in hand since many jobs require flipping between sections and that is easier for this old grease monkey than the electronic version, but you may feel differently.
My old shop manual was falling apart from 20+ years of use. I bought a new one and threw the old one away. Then I found out that the electrical diagrams are all black and white, whereas in the old one they were all in color. I guess color is too expensive nowadays.
