Default L83/L98 cast or forged?

Are the crank and pistons in the 84 L83 and the 85 L98 cast or forged?

Also,is the compression in the 85 L98 9.5 or 9.0 like the 84 L83?

Thanks B

the 85 pistons are forged TRW flat tops, picture below,
compression ratio was 9.0 due to the iron heads.

I was like "Dam! that steering shaft is there on the starter side". Then I saw where you are from.
