Hasn't changed

Is still the 300Hp LTI from a 96 Vette with auto trans I told you it was last time you asked

To run it as stock you need any 96-97 LT1 (OBDII ) ECM and harness.
However many convert back to the simpler 94-95 ( OBDI ) LT1 setup for ease of install and tuning

More specifics on the "How to" will curtail the redundant questions ya think ..
this need for specific info is so very important for a new fellow like myself ...
I dont take well to half cocked knee jerk responses no matter how simple the question
.please understand that I need you more than ever

needing exact and specific info is where this Gent is going even with an unfortunate temporary memory situation

Google is your friend

OBDI ON BOARD DIAGNOSTICS ONE ended in 1995

used for 1992-1995 corvette LT1s

1994-1995 corvettes use a flash tuneable PCM
so its easier to mail order tune than 1992-1993

OBDII ON BOARD DIAGNOSTICS TWO started in 1996

One year only on corvette LT1
used in 1996 1997 F body

Anyway as its been rehashed in multiple threads... the engine will run on any of the corvette 1992-1996 systems you need to pick one..

However, you're in Kalifornia and the rules there are different than in the United States so you should talk with the Kali smog Officials IOT see what it will take to make your swap LEGAL in Peoples Republic of Kalifornia.

Good luck

A few Words ...Yes , I just received this Liver transplant ..
the incredible Gift of Life ..a few months ago (Dec12th) plus 4 surgeries since ..
Complications concerning rejection issues have been my fight

Most memory difficulties are due to the 26 different drugs I consume daily
they really do play on your "memory" and more .. a fight , Not for the faint of heart mind or body ..

my humblest Apologies for asking for duplicate bits of info ...
My fight for life will continue with difficulties but I will Win I hope

My pleasure is to be a C4 owner at 63

Amen L

Good luck and God bless you. I hope you have many happy years with your corvette. After what you have been through, who cares about a few "memory lapses". and

Do you have the complete vin#? If so, you could run a carfax on it.

No way of telling from the partial VIN on engine whether car was a coupe or a vert ( 6th digit of VIN ) so either1G1YY2251T5118131
or
1G1YY3251T5118131

In any case what it came from is all rather irrelevant now the engine is out because as already noted he can run any LT1 ECM and harness he wishes to

Very well , things are finally coming together for Frankenstein 96/84

My Last question will be concerning the 84 C4 700 trans with the electronically activated slip clutch .. I do not mind running it without the switch

What should my concerns be with running this 96 Lt1 harness and my 84 auto trans
isn't the 96 trans is fly by wire ..

No
but the '96 PCM controls the 96 4L60E auto trans and expects to see feedback from it so you would need a manual LT1 tune to run the non electronic T700 you have
as well as a means of controlling the convertor lockup if desired

As I noted in the PM , the engine number confirms your engine is from a Vette but somebody has fitted the interchanging front accessory drive from a F-Body to the engine
