I have googled and I have talked to Summit - no results so far. Need help..
My 383 build is completed. Last item I installed was an ATI superdamper 917274 which is larger than stock damper (93 mod LT1).

Stock belt is 67 in long, with new damper I need either a 68.5 in or 69 in long belt (6-ribs both sides).

Where do I find a longer belt? Can someone please supply a link?

Any GOOD parts store can measure your stock belt and look one up for you by size rather than by what it supposedly fits.

That is true ;-) I have for sure tried. Called Summit today and even Summit does not have belt for me.

I have delt with Dayco. Their belts come in 1/2" increments. At auto parts stores, we have the luxury of buying the belt we think we need and one on either side, smaller and bigger. The 2 belts that don't fit can be returned. In Norway, better be spot on.

You may have a heck of a time finding a different sized double sided belt.

I am willing to bet you WILL NOT find a doubled sided belt in the length you need. I've looked and found nothing.

Your best bet will be to get a smooth power steering pulley, and two smooth idler pulley, one for the tensioner and convert to a single sided setup. That is what I did. More reliable and WAY easier to find a belt.

Check Gates/Dayco/Goodyear, etc...but I doubt they will have one. You can look up belts online at the belt manufactures websites.

FYI, ironically you CAN get the plastic 92-E93 power steering pulley's for about $400, the metal later one are NO longer manufactured by GM or to the best of my knowledge anyone else. I got mine from a Corvette salvage yard for 85 w/pump.

Have tried for a long time to get a double sided belt - no luck. Will convert serpentine to single sided. The tensioner wheel and idler wheel are easy to find replacement for (they ar as far as I can see same size). The P/S wheel is another story.. Does anyone know where to find a replacment? Dont want to pay 400 USD for a plastic wheel.. And cannot pick one from a salvage yard - no Corvettes in such yards in Norway..

Unless you go back to the stock diameter crank pulley/balancer you may have to get creative. The following solutions may be a bit of a guess/gamble if you suck a math, like I do, but still these may be worth a look none the less....

Option 1:
Use an overdrive (slightly smaller than stock - stock pulley size should be ~ 1.625") alternator pulley and a stock length belt (stock is 67.25").

Option 2:
A double sided belt but sligltly longer than what you want (72.44") but it might work if you install/replace your stock alternator pulley an underdrive (pulley will be slightly larger than stock - underdrive diameter is ~ 2.750") pulley.

It's certainly no big loss losing the double sided belt. They only used it for a year and a half before they converted to a single sided one. After I shredded my second one completely at random and then having to special order an absurdly expensive replacement, I decided to convert to a single sided one.

While I was at it installed a set of underdrive pulleys which required a different size. Of course the size recommended by the kit didn't work. I was able to take that one to the store though and say "give me a belt x number of inches longer or shorter than this, until I got what I needed. You can't do that with a double sided one.

Now if my belt decides to fail suddenly, I'll at least be able to replace it with something I can get from any store instead of having to wait on the special order.

This is great, thanks very much for excellent info and links.. I might try both options ;-) Stock belt length is easy available (option 1) and belts for option 2 is also available in Norway (for Volvo)..
