Default My upcoming build

Here is what I am planning for my up comming 93' built:
1. Overhaul the motor, may have to upgrade to a 355 depending how worn everything is.
2. Add 1.6:1 rockers and upgrade springs
3. Install headers and a free flow exhaust
4. port heads to match the headers
5. Rebuild the transmission (possible shift kit install)
6. Install Richmond 3.54 gears
7. Have a chip burnt to match the small upgrades and fix the speedo with the change of the rear end gears.

Just lookin for a nice street car. All input is welcome. Newbe here.

Skip the port match to headers instead get some bowl porting where youll actually pick up a little something. SHould be a reliable ride with a little more poop when youre done.

BINGO on cleaning up the bowls. I would add a slightly upgraded cam and lifters. The operative word here is slightly, a big lump stick will be counterproductive.

An aftermarket cam will wake up your build. You're going to get a new tune anyway. You can pick up some easy hp.

I should not have said skip port match altogether just look further than that for gains. Portmatching intake will never hurt, exhaust wouldnt make it the exaaact size as the header/gasket like to come in a tad smaller.
Not a huge deal either way though.
