Difficult to replace a crushed (hard) brake line?
On my '89 coupe there appears to be a pack of brake lines (5?) running along the driver's side lower edge of the car. Near the front jacking point (where the factory arrows are to place the jack) I just noticed that some of the lines seem crushed, probably from a floor jack.
One seems worse than the others, and a couple seem only partially ovalized. Yikes! I haven't noticed a loss of brake performance but I also don't know how long ago this happened.....maybe years ago. If it's been this way for a long time then I suppose I don't have anything to worry about because the brakes seem to work fine, but now that I've seen the damage I can't stop worrying about it.
I'd like to know if anyone has replaced the hard brake lines on their C4 and what they learned in doing it. Piece of cake, or PITA?
Thanks. :seeya
