knock sensor
Ok got a question im redoing some items on my 84 vette and i was going to to put in a timing GEAR set and it says to not use on a car with knock sensor so my question is should i bypass my knock or not and if so how thanks.

Don't bypass the knock sensor. If you get spark knock the sensor sends that info to the ECM which takes out timing.
And don't use gears. They transmit too much vibration to the cam. If you are hell-bent on getting something other than a chain, go with a belt drive system.
