New fuel pump but doesn't start as quickly.
I found I had low fuel pressure coming from the fuel pump.
I changed the fuel pump, but now the car won't start as quickly.
Before the fuel pump change the car started imediately with a quick flick of the key.
Now it takes about a second of turning over before it fires up.
Also, after installing the new fuel pump the car still has a slight hesitation when cold (my mechanic scanned it recently, said it didn't have any problems.)
Anyone have any suggestions about either of my problems?
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Tom
Went to replace mine ('96/LT4) & the local parts store had Delphi FE0115 listed as the replacement. Installed it & car wouldn't start without a lot of cranking (plus it hesitated badly on WOT). Checked NAPA's website & they list the FE0114 as the replacement. Exchanged the FE0115 for a FE0114 and the car ran perfectly after.
