Default Best ECM replacement option?

From those of you who have been there done that; which replacement ECM would you get for a 92-93? Mainly interested in the reliability of each unit, especially if one of the reman units have been "upgraded" to more durable/heat resistant components.

1. GM reman unit from gmpartsdirect (1 yr warranty)
2. A1cardone reman unit (Not sure about warranty?)
3. Used working ECM pulled from 92-93 LT1

Do you know for sure that your ECM isn't working?

Here's my other thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...m-41-code.html

Just got the CCM out tonight and started the CCM code 41 flowchart in the FSM. I have one more test to run tomorrow per the FSM, but nothing has come to light just yet...

At this point with all the tests and google research I've done, I have a very strong gut feeling it's the ECM. But without another ECM in hand to test with, it still leaves me unsure.

Now I've finally traced it down to a short in the serial communication line circuit 800 (tan wires). Glad I didn't order an ECM (yet)
