I created a hood prop that spans between the upper A-arm and the hood rib. Keeps the hood a little lower to prevent the hood lights from turning on. Just so I can do some basic maintenance without draining the battery. I really get tired of re-programming my radio every time.

Just dead as can b. u think I just need a new battery? I saw somewhere it could be the lights on the hood while I changed them? Thanks for any help!!

.5 would be half an inch.

I am sure you mean .050. Fifty thousandths. That is a common spark plug gap.

Depends on Year and type of engine.

Sorry for continuing the hijack!

Welp, it is a 1984 vette... 5.7 crossfire. .050?

.045 for 1984 Corvette.

Most parts stores have very inexpensive gap setting tools available.

Maybe a buck.

The circular one works pretty good.

I thought about putting a switch on it. Or a ambient light sensor.

Sounds to me like your overcomplicating things. It takes a few seconds to unplug and leave unplugged.
