Since I have a 84, 4+3 D36, will a D44 slip right in or other mods?

What kinda mods would I need to go D36 to D44 on a manual 84? Straight exchange or other mods req'd?

just drill new holes in the cbeam, everything else will bolt in

I thought all manual cars came with a D44? :confused:

Thanks nsimmons, that's what I thought just wanted to confirm. Yeah, all 84's had D36, what a shame GM didn't make the change earlier. :cry

whats stupid is the 82's had the dana 44, they just skipped over our year
