700R4 TV Question
I'm rebuilding a 700R4 and came across a part that is not shown in any of the reference materials I have.
This (cut) spring is on the TV (#326), between the TV and the end of the TV sleeve (#327).
Obviously, this prevents the TV from going all of the way to the inside end of the sleeve.
Anybody know why this is in there?

it is a part of a trans go shift kit.there is an old tutorial video video made by TransGo that shows installation of this part,serch TransGo site for this video here a snapshot

I have heard that you can call TransGo technical support and they will email the instructions to you in .PDF format. They are NOT available for download from their web site (which I think is stupid, but I guess they have their reasons).

if you think part of a shift kit is a simple separator plate modification consisting in some oil passages drilling/enlarge or some oil passages plugs.Some ceck ***** suppression,or simple stiffer springs...For example the anti-stuck modd for TV valve is a simple aluminum plate inserted inside the springs that limited spring compression...you can do your own shiftkit if you have the instructions...btw nothing can stop the internet just searching....
