Default Radiator hoses "might as well's"

Need to replace a weeping lower radiator hose on my '89 coupe. Since 1/2 the engine must be disassembled, what are the smart "might as well" items while there? 64k miles.
I plan a new serpentine belt, but......
Appreciate all input from the cool kids corner

Get some Prestone flush and clean your system out. Both rad. hoses obviously....might as well hit the heater hoses while you're at it. New thermostat. If yours has the oil cooler don't forget the hoses to it as well.

If you still have the power-robbing "frisbee" on front of your WP pulley, don't install it back again.

This would be a good time to do the TB coolant bypass. I used a short "U" section of heater hose from the intake base to a plastic splice and back under the A/C compressor to the OEM heater hose. Then plugged the two TB water ports with rubber nipples to dress it up a bit.

I didn't have to remove any accessories when I changed radiator hoses.

The clamps are strategically placed so you can get to them without removing anything.

Remove the tensioner pulley/bracket and have the proper hose clamp pliers on hand if you still have the stock hose clamps. I just did all mine at about 30K. Also remove the knock sensor on the passenger side of the engine, down below the exhaust header near the freeze plug location. Lots of corrosion gets trapped there. You can drain the block on the drivers side too. If you have the oil cooler, it's a lot easier.
