Default New Vette Owner w/ a Minor Problem

First of all, I've been lurking on this forum for a long time and I just bought my first Vette, a 94 convertible. Been driving it for about a month and it has developed an intermittent issue. Occassionally I will be driving at highway speeds and my interior lights will dim slightly, and the car engine will also slightly cut out for just a second. Also, if it helps diagnose, my digital temp gauge will go from reading normal 180 degrees to 40 or 50 degrees. I know that can't be right lol. Again, it seems pretty random. I'm guess loose connection somewhere possibly? Battery or alternator perhaps? Although my voltage level reads about 14.0 constantly. Any input would be thoroughly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

PS: Forgot to mention but I'm not getting any codes from it yet.

any engine codes?

When the temp sensor on the engine starts to fail, it will bounce around and throw a code. The code is H15.

Problem solved. Turned out to be a faulty coolant temp sensor, the one coming out of the water pump. $20 part from Amazon. Thanks so much for the input guys.
