I jacked up my corvette for the first time yesterday and yes I used the proper lift points. I also placed the jack stands at those lift points as close as I could without pinching any lines. Well, when I set the car back down it was a good 2-3 inches higher than it normally sat before I jacked it up. But, I rolled it down the driveway and drove it back up and it was sitting back in the normal position.
I am wondering if that is normal for these year corvette, or all cars, or if there is something that went wrong. The car still drives perfectly fine with no weird sounds or anything either.
Just a little information: It has all original everything, bushings, shocks, and all the other stuff mostly. Also the car is just above 89,xxx miles.
It did this on the rear as it was the only part I jacked up, if this is normal then please let me know, or if there is anyway to prevent it from happening then that would be good to know also, and if I jack up the front will it do the same thing.
