Default 1985 Corvette Secondary Air Injection

Hi, I'm installing a set of Hedman Long Tube Headers, and I am deleting the secondary air injection system, I'm going to run the air pump without anything connected. I see a lot of controls, like solenoids or something for the secondary air injection system that have connectors into them, meaning computer controlled system. So, my question is, will this set a check engine light? And I don't have to pass emissions by the way.

Thanks a lot!

Default

Unplugging the connectors to the A.I.R. solenoids will not set any error codes.

You might want to disassemble the A.I.R. pump and remove the vanes from the impeller. If you don't do that it will make a noise.
