Default Augmenting the factory alarm with a keyless module.

I have a 92 C4 Base model Coupe. When I bought the car, back in the early 2000’s, it came with an aftermarket alarm. The problem is that it continuously got out of sync with the factory alarm and was going off on me all the time. I decided to remove the poorly installed alarm, and augment the factory alarm with a Viper model 211HV Keyless unit.
The factory alarm sets by locking the door with the power door lock while the door is open. When the alarm is tripped, the horn honks.
My modification design and installation of the keyless unit would include:
Keyless entry
Park Light Flash Confirmation
Horn and Park Light Panic Mode
Alarm mode with Park Lights and Horn

Parts:Viper 211 HV or comparable Keyless Unit
DEI 528T Pulse Timer Relay for the unlock circuit
Bosch type relays and sockets
1N4007 Diodes for relay spike prevention and CCM protection on alarm disarm circuit
1N5402 3amp Diode for the horn circuit at the Central Control Module

Notes: Delay the unlock circuit to prevent triggering the alarm when
unlocking the door. Adjusted to minimum delay.
The 1N5402 diode in the horn circuit to prevent the park lights
from coming on when honking the horn from the steering wheel.
Must activate the alarm with the lock button on the remote
while the door is “OPEN”.
DISCLAIMER:This mod is currently installed on my vehicle and is working. Use
the mod at your own risk.

SWEET!!

I like stuff like this.. the mod to lock the door/arm with door open has always bummed me out. Now I have to wonder if you could set the door switch on a delay so x seconds after the door shuts the switch would then change state, this would allow remote locking of the doors, while closed and setting the alarm. or once the door is remote locked, bypass the delay on the timer circuit.

The flaw with my suggestion is how to handle the courtesy light efficiently and effectively

All the fuses are a little over-kill. But just to let you know. The section of the factory aluminum panel with the fuses is actually cut out. Meaning: The factory panel is a rippled panel welded to a smooth panel with carpet, right. So, I cut out the rippled layer of the center section (with a dremal tool with cutout disc) to gain room for the fuses panel. The fuse panel came from NAPA. Molex connector and sleeve is from Frys. Mouser would have this as well. Feel free to field any questions you may have.
And yes, the locking the system with the door open is a bummer. Let me know if you can design that out.
Let me make one note: The schematic indicates that the passenger door should unlock with the driver switch and vice versa. My car does not do that. A previous owner jumped the circuits together so they would. I just left the jump so they would continue to be tied together.

Here is where i mounted my LED. It can hardly be seen while driving but illuminates the speedo screen at night.
