Default New Proform/GM Center bolt valve covers

I got these the other day at the local dealer parts/performance parts counter. They were 129 bucks. You can also get black ones for that price and chrome plated aluminum ones for 229 a set for you wealthy guys. These are cast aluminum that have been polished. They are 1/4" taller than stock.

Wow, do those fit on L98 cars? I'd LOVE to replace mine with those! ALSO, would they clear a 1.6:1 Roller Rocker Arm with no modification. Reason being..I really don't want to grind my factory drip tabs off. I want a valve cover that is a simple swap. And those look BAD!

They are in the new 2002 catalog. Here's the P/N's:

Black Wrinkle - 12497979
Polished - 12497978
Chrome - 12497985

They come with bolts too since they are taller than stock. I am getting ready to put a set on my '85 but I can't decide wether to go with the polished or black (chrome is not yet available). I have chromed regular stamped steel OEMones on it now but I think I'd like to try the black ones. Polished might be easier to keep clean though. Decisions, decisions... -Jeff

Part number is 141-130. Theres no drip tabs or anything like that so they should go right on. They include the hardware to bolt them on but no oil filler cap.

The black ones look really good too. Says they fit 87 and later.

I think Proform owes me a commission. :)
