Default Push vs Pull clutches fitting Flywheels

I'm at a crossroads with my LT4. I bent the clutch fork and if I have to go in there I'm replacing EVERYTHING and dumping the DMF before it goes south too (good but getting old). I found a Ram clutch kit that has everything; [Alum. Flywheel, push type pressure plate, sprung hub disk, hydraulic throwout brg.] The only problem is, I'm not a fan of aluminum flywheels and would prefer a little heavier steel one. The steel ones I found are replacement types for the stock setup that retains the pull type clutch.
My question: Is there some dimensional difference between the flywheels between one for a push style pressure plate and a stock pull style pressure plate or are they the same?

I would speak to McLeod and mention their 1345 release bearing for the ZF. I believe you could put a package together from them and their bearing "bolts on to the ZF" at the guide tube retainer and they provide the proper shims to orientate it correctly. You only need to supply accurate dimensions.

Their bearing is the last one in this link. It's not anything "universal". I believe it's worth a conversation. Their support and shim packages are supplied if needed until it's correct.

Your discussions need to be with McLeod "before" ordering from anyone. You could put together most any weight flywheel that you would like.

I did an LSX 454 package for a fellow using their products and they didn't do the 9 bolt flywheel at the time but they were most helpful heading me towards someone that did the flywheel for us that at the time wasn't available. This was back early in '11. There's others that have used the McLeod 1345 either with the McLeod package OR after problems with a Ram or Howe product. Most were happy.

The 1345 isn't "inexpensive" BUT it's NOT universal either. Tailored to the application. True-fit stuff.
