Need help choosing exhaust!
If any of you guys or gals have some audio files of your cars exhaust could you post them so I can try to decide on which exhaust to go with. I have a 96 CE LT4. Was looking towards the B&B's or Flowmasters.??

The Y-pipe rotted out last year and rather than just replacing it, I went with the Flowmaster Cat-back. Doesn't wake up the neighbors :mad and still sounds great  when you decide to get on it. Little bit of resonance on the highway, but it's fine around town.

Wish I had some sound files. the Flowmasters on my car with out the resonator sound awesome! There is resonance at 1800 rpm but it is deep and very throaty, thanks again to Glock94 for the exhaust!

Mike, check this out (hope this works):

That and do a search for exhaust , you will find alot of support for the Corsa catback , and for good reason. Its reasonably priced , looks good , doesnt resonate , makes decent power, and installs easily. It is just about perfect for a stock to bolt on LT1/4 car if you like the sound and looks.
I went with the B&B Triflow (just arrived today!) because I wanted a larger system (3" , though it does go down to 2.5 only in the resonater which can be replaced with an X pipe) and I really like the looks alot. I rode in a car with one (pre2.5" resonator - 3" all the way ) and it resonated a fair amount. My Vette is NOT a daily driver so that is not as much of a concern. I am wondering how much resonating is reduced with the change to the 2.5 " resonator, we'll know soon as I get it installed this month (waiting on my Hurst shifter on back order).
Power Effects would definitely be my first choice if they were not so expensive and heavy. They sound excellent.
Hope that helps...... :seeya

I like the PE system! for looks and the sound. Here's a couple of .mpg's of my car and the PE system.

Just went to Flowmasters! Love Em! Resonates a bit at 15 to 1800 but nice and throaty! Had my stock LT-1 tips welded on though since I didn't care much for the Flows look. That's just me!!! :smash:

and Joe M at PE told me they sell direct and have a Bloomington Show special right now. I know that the L98 Catback was selling for $810+shipping.

Go with the flows :yesnod:
Do you remember the exact specs on the "Flows"? This much I think I have;
1. 3"
2. 2 chamber
3. 40 series
What I'm not sure of is "center inlet/outlet" or "center inlet, offset outlet" etc, etc......
SUMMIT sells them for $73 each, but I'd like to know what has worked for you guys ? ? ? ? ? '92 LT1.
P.S. I know, go out to the garage, look under the car and figure it out for myself...... But then I wouldn't be adding another post here on the COOLEST FORUM ON THE NET ! ! ! ! ! ! !          :flag :seeya

Re: Need help choosing exhaust! (mikeslt4)
I have purchased and installed three aftermarket catbacks, two for my Impala SS and one for my LT4 Vette. I have to say Borla was the biggest dissapointment, nice finsh but really bad fit. The Corsa system I installed on my Vette blew me away. The fit and finish is the best. The install was a piece of cake, I got it right the first time. When I consider the cost/performnce/fit/finish, IMHO, nobody can touch Corsa. Why pay an extra $300-$400?
