Default Delay time between wipes

How long is the delay time between wipes at the fastest delay mode? at my 87, it takes about 8 seconds between wipes. On the longest mode, it takes about 30 seconds. Is this normal?

I have an 88 but I installed a new wiper switch a few years ago when I noticed my wipers working slower and the price of the wiper switch was going through the roof.

Lowest speed Delay cycle = 7 seconds

Highest speed delay = 2 seconds

Putting an important and costly switch on the door where rain can get in it was not the greatest idea. Take the door panel off and clean the switch contacts where it plugs in and hope of the best.

maybe,

Wanted to give you better information on the wiper delay. I took those measurements with the engine not running. This morning on the way to work it was raining and I took the low speed delay time again. It was 17 seconds between wipe cycles.
