Anyone know what is actually different on LT1 - LT4 cat back exhaust?
A couple of exhausts systems for sale in the C4 parts forum. Does anyone know for sure what is the difference in years '92 - '96? In some catalogs, '96 is listed separate. Is there really a difference in fitment to cat converters, or is it other routing or brackets, or possibly computer sensing?
Any help will be appreciated.

96 was the first year for OBD II, and there is another O2 sensor after the cats, for a total of 4. That should be mounted in the tubing after the cat, not the exhaust pipe that hooks into the cat. So I can't see why a 96 would have anything different as far as the catback is concerned. Maybe the resonators were different. :confused:

The LT4 cars have an 'H' crosover tube just before the exhaust bends outward for the mufflers

The 95 6 speed Vettes have the h pipe too, maybe all the 6 speed LT1/4 have'em.

I did not have the H-pipe on my stock exhaust. This was a LT4 thing only.

I disagree, I have two '95 exhaust systems and neither have the H pipe. Only the '96 has it.

Yup. My 95 LT1 M6 had the crossover tube. Just like my 96 LT4.
