Oil pressure switch for 1990 corvette
My car has a horizontal sending unit with 3 wires going to the connector (I noticed it looks like it's leaking some), and a 2nd more vertical (also looks like it's leaking some) sending unit with 1 wire going to it, I assume this is the switch for the "check gages" light. What is the other sending unit/ sensor.
The circled sensor has three wires in it and the other has 1 wire. This is what's in my car.
My FSM Shows this in it for a 1990

For a '90 the first image is correct with the 3-pin for gauge and fuel pressure then the single pin being for the light.
My inclination though is that you've "circled" the single pin switch rather than the 3-pin gauge/fuel.
You might want to confirm. The gauge/fuel is generally the taller of the two.
Your first image though isn't a snapshot you took from your car though UNLESS it now has an LT1/4 engine. I believe I see the LT1/4 coolant tube cylinder head to cylinder head in the image. The distributor hole is missing also. The switch/sender arrangement though is similar. If you're trying to buy a part change these GM #'s 3-wire 10201491 and for the 1-wire 25036935, most AP stores should be able to accomplish.

Sometimes the FSM didn't keep up with the changes that were made to the cars. My '86 FSM shows pictures of carburetors...
Do you have the correct connectors to plug in to those sensors? Your remarks seem to indicate that you do.
The separate oil pressure switch (2 wires) and oil pressure sender (1 wire) were combined into one unit with 3 wires. I don't know when that happened, but it was around 1990. This guy:

You are correct, the photo isn't of my car. But I can tell you the single wire on my car points straight up, towards the hood. The three wire one points toward the driver tire. Both have oil residue on them. I would replace both. I just want to know what I'm replacing and the proper part numbers. Also is their any special procedure I have to follow, to replace them.
Check your car, the taller regardless of the direction it's pointed is the 3-pin. If yours is otherwise then I'd say it's a "one of". Take the part #'s I supplied and go to the AP store of choice.

If so, I stand corrected...I wouldn't have thought that such a redundant arrangement would be there...I assumed that the OP switch of L98 times was there...I apologize for the incorrect info posted. which has been removed.
