Default Dana 36 to Dana 44 Swap

Is the Dana 44 a direct replacement for a Dana 36? I'm building a '60 Project car that will use an '86 suspension and I'd like to upgrade to the Dana 44 but, would like to use the '86 suspension.

So can I take and directly bolt in the Dana 44 batwing and have the remaining suspension pieces from the '86 fit right up?

Thanks

It's the same in every regard for parts bolting up with the exception that the "nose" on the Dana 44 is a little longer, so the driveline support beam and the drive shaft are a little bit shorter than those used with the Dana 36.
