Default Ram twin disk conversion?

My engine is going back together and I am now starting a search for a clutch that will actually hold the power the car will be making vs the last 2 that just couldnt. I am thinking I will either go MCleod or with the RAM 9.5" twin disk that converts the ZF to a push style clutch system. I have the twin disk ram in my 650 HP z06 and havent had any issues. Im just wondering how its going to do in a C4.

Does anyone have this clutch in their car and if so how do you like it?

This wont work for 650HP, but it might give you some ideas.

When I needed clutch for the my stock LT1 the 88 Corvette flywheel and clutch kit was a good fit with a hydraulic throwout bearing. I also found that 1.7" hydraulic throw bearing will fit with the factory bell housing, at least on a 93.

I have a McLeod dual disc in my car, and when I had the stock irs in the car it broke all sorts of rear end parts. I never broke anything with a single disc. I now have a 35 spline Ford 9" in the back. A dual disc has zero slippage and hits the parts hard. Your Z06 has stronger 30 spline CV axles than a C4. The spindles in the C4 are 26 spline. There are all sorts of parts that can brake in the IRS on the C4.

If it was me, I would look into a Spec stage 3+. It will hold the power, has good manners (not too grabby), and will be easier on your IRS.

I had a centerforce dual friction that was supposed to be good for 600 ft lbs and it lasted maybe 3k miles. Then I went with a spec 2+ while my centerforce got rebuilt. That lasted maybe 800 miles of street driving. When that went out I put the centerforce back in and it lasted the summer but when I pulled the engine again it was toast. The car makes 600/600 at the tires now but I'm shooting for atleast 700 by spring. I'm tired of replacing clutch. I need something that holds the power. I know a heavy clutch will break stuff but I'll cross that road when I get to it.

Yes, installed by ZFDoc.

I like it fine! RAM was a bit tardy in getting the steel F/W done, but it all works just fine with the 4+3 master.

I chose the organic twin disc which gives e some headroom on power.
