Default Do you need an OptiSpark?

Restore spark to your LT1/LT4 motor with this BRAND NEW Distributor from AIP Electronics
This Distributor EXCEEDS OEM specification and comes 100% complete with everything needed including a new Optispark wiring harness.
(Note: Harness may not fit all applications and you may have to use your original harness.) Our AIP LT1 Optical Encoder is temp rated at 330°
and produces an accurate timing reference signal up to 8000 RPM, exceeding the OEM Mitsubishi encoder used in the AC Delco factory LT1 distributors.
This is most likely the best aftermarket LT1/LT4 distributor you will ever come across. Uses AIP's own Mitsubishi Specification Optical Encoder
for the most accurate/dependable LT1 Distributor yet.
We have negotiated with AIP and starting 12/01/2015 AIP Optisparks purchased through SacCityCorvette come with a 2 Year Replacement Warranty!
Must be purchased through SacCityCorvette to receive this 2 yr warranty!

Newly updated Vented $189.95
Non Vented $180.95

Hi mixalive,
No, the early Opti's are non vented. There are ways to do your own venting. You can Google it.

Thank you,
Christian

probably sell a bunch if you sold the 92 version with the newer style vented caps. You could then too make up venting hose kits and sell those to and make a few bucks.

I don't know how much clout you have with your supplier/manufacturer but I would wager you would sell quite a few if they were available. I'd buy one...

Hi Polo Vert: It is a matter of us just purchasing from our supplier and modifying them which would void any warranty. We don't like to void warranties. Thanks for the input We like to hear from our customers.

charge a bit more and warrantee them yourself. IF there as good as advertised warrantying them for one year should be a problem anyway.

I may also need a 92 unit. Do you have the correct harness for it?

Hi kimmer,
You most likely will need a Non Vented Opti for a 92. It does come with a harness but there is a possibility that wont fit. There are a few oddball harness's out there. If the harness doesn't fit you can use your original one or modify the new one. We had a 97 z28 that the harness didn't fit and we had to trim a little of the plastic out to get it to plug in. Its the only one we came across but one of our customer had the same issue. Its rare but it happens. Just a heads up.

Thanks
Christian

The problem is the warranty never includes the labor (4 to 6 hours total - to reinstall )

Hi seabright,
We are not boasting, just letting people know about AIP's warranty.
Just on a side note, the MSD only has a 1 year on their $500 Opti.

Thanks

Hi seabright,
I agree, a extended warranty would be a good idea and would give customers more confidence to buy their Opti's. I will run that by them.

Thank you for your input!
Christian
