Anyone know of a good reliable (maybe you) engine builder in Ontario, Canada. I could look in the yellow pages, but I want only the best (well maybe second best might do) to work on my car. I am looking at the 383 upgrade. Would love to see 400+hp on my little black mama.

Call RedLine Automotive (Toronto) at 416-292-1431 and ask to speak with Eric Latino. They specialize in corvette upgrades and 383 engine builds.

You could also try Aurora Automotive at (905) 727-4281 and ask for Paul Alcock. These guys build racing motors for the racing series up at Sunset Speedway. Paul's a Chevy guy too - he knows what he's doing.

There's also Active Racing Engines in Mississauga at (905) 855-1244 - ask for either Mike or Wayne. Both Mike and Wayne are really nice guys and have Corvettes themselves (Mike's got an '89 and Wayne's got an '88). Their shop has been featured on Dream Car Garage on Speed Channel and it's the exclusive shop to Legendary Motor Cars so you know the work's good.

Thanks guys. I will call them.

What is a good price for a propperly built 383. I mean from start to finish. Intake, engine, computer work and exhaust complete. Some I could do myself, but if I was to have someone do it for me?? I am looking for 400+rwhp.

Thanks again.

If you want the best, you want to go to Agostino Racing Engines. They are just outside of Toronto. They have done many forum members cars, and they are a supporting tuner. I have been there many times with forum member Buckmaster to have work done on his car.

ARE is the way to go. They are well known tuner thru out the world. When I was there I personally saw motors shipped from Autralia and other part of the world shipped there for rebuilt.

Definately see ARE. There are 2 Camaros in Windsor that had engines built there (with nitrous). One is an LS1 (9.9x) and the other an LT1 (10.2x). Both are 6 speeds too. Very nice results.
