Default Please Help... Car stalled left wife stranded, won't crank now

Ok wife's car so this is her telling me what happened.

1993 LT1 6spd

She tells me... Didn't want to start... gave it some gas then it started. Some light smoke...
Driving it it hesitated, something seemed wrong, drove rough, she says it didn't seem right.

Then got to a stop sign it stalled, check light came on. It cranked gave it some gas it went a little way and it stalled again. Waited cranked it started again but if the revs didn't stay up it wanted to stall. Stopped at another light and it stalled and would not start. Just let it sit all after noon and it won't even crank now. It just feels like it is locked up...

Yes oil level looks good also doesn't look cloudy. Battery cables are nice and tight.

So I went and pulled 3 codes
c12, which means nothing.
H28
H83

Opti, plugs, wires all replaced in the last year. It ran perfectly two days before this.

Any help would be huge. I don't even know where to start looking.

Yes. I also tried to jump it and same. Won't crank. It feels like it wants to but won't roll over. Of course earlier she was able to crank it several times to get it going again. But is certainly sounds like it has deteriorated.

I would get the battery tested. If you can check the fluid in it.

Battery is less than 6 months old as well.

I am thinking one of three things right now.

Blow head gasket?

Faulty OPti again?

Bad ECU ground of some sort or another short somewhere in the system?

Pull the plugs and see what comes out. If water head gasket if fuel fpr or injectors.

Check that the battery cable connections are clean and tight -- both ends.

Currently having electrical issue in my '93. I hate electrical problems!

So what was worse, the car stalling or the wife stranded? Probably better not answer that!

After confirming you have 12.x volts at the battery. I would start with confirming fuel Pressure during Key-on, idle & driving if possible. Next stage checking the Coil, Module "ICM" opti is Unlikely to fail at this point. But Possible.

I felt bad for her... I was out of town too so she was upset and afraid she did something. She babies the thing.

Just to follow up. It was a bad fuel regulator. New reg seals plugs and an oil change and all seems well.

Question will be if the bearings got damaged or not. Time will tell.
