Rear interior lights wont turn off with rear hatch vent hook on..
Had no problem in the warm months last year with the rear hatch vent hook....Left it in for months and the interior lights went off when I closed the rear glass...
I reinstalled yesterday and for the life of me I cant get the rear interior lights to turn off......Tried spraying the mechanism with contact cleaner but.does not work...
Any tips on how to fix?

You might check that the part that pushes down the switch is pressing it down far enough. Can you get the light to turn off if you press that switch down with your finger? If you can you may need to adjust the hook or add a spacer to the part that pushes on the switch.

I installed this clean little switch to kill the courtesy light when using the hatch vent.

Wow... so it is safe to use the hatch vent? I wondered about that. I was about to buy one but thought that it may put too much stress on the glass at that point and didn't want to risk breaking it. I saw one that had the little button pusher molded into it. Does it really work? Can you use it up to a certain speed or can you just put it in there and forget about it?

I use it during the warm weather...I basically left it on from May -Sept last year..
Does make noise though when you start hitting some bumps....I don't know, my 43 year old C3 rides better than this 91 ZR-1....If I had to really critique the C-4 design, would be,its a little too long and a little too heavy, with too stiff of a ride no matter what setting the suspension is on....

In all the years on this forum I cannot recall anyone having a hatch blow out using a vent adapter.
