I am in the middle of replacing my inner tie rods and I cannot remove the because the end is crimped in place. How can I remove them without taking out the whole rack?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Claudio, I haven't done this on a c4 yet, but somebody will chime in!

I was able to get them out, apparently the crimped steel is rather soft, so with the tie rod tool I rented I was able to break them loose. Tonight I replace the control arms that I had replacements prepared with new ball joint and poly bushings.

What type of tie rod tool did you rent? I need to do an inner tie rod but hanv't found concrete evidence it was possible to replace with the rack installed...
