Default New Exhaust !

I replaced my old rotted Y pipe and mufflers yesterday.

I purchased Walker SoundFX Y pipe and mufflers from Summit.
I was told they were direct fit OEM replacement and the were. I had soaked all the mounting hardware with penetrating oil three times over the previous week.

All bolts came loose and replacement took about 40 mins. Y pipe pretty much fell apart. the left muffler was collapsed in the inside so it must have been impeding air flow.

New exhaust sounds great and I am happy.

On to the next project.

Here it is on the lift with the old pipes visible. If you are thinking about doing a CAT back, go for it. Just remember soaking the bolts is a worthwhile step. I had been told exhaust jobs are awful and take hours and always require cutting.
My mechanic wanted $200 for putting my parts on.

Glad I saved the money and learned something.

That's a weird looking hoist ... apparently it works ok though.

Its a scissor lift. Hydraulic with mechanical stops. Works great.
