Default Alarm occasionally goes off..........why?

Every once in a while, after unlocking the 92 and starting the engine, the alarm goes off. Turning the key back to Off fixes that. (I use the power door lock switch, not the manual one).
There are no codes.

Anyone have an idea of what may be causing this? It's not a big deal, but maybe there's an easy fix?

I would try cleaning they key and ajusting the door switches on mine you just pull out the plunger and shut the door.

I'll try that. However, if it was the door switch, wouldn't the alarm go off as soon as you opened the door?

Not sure if this is what your talking about but are you reaching in "window down" and unlocking it ? If you don't use the key and it's been locked it will trip the alarm i.e. someone busting your window and unlocking. Only way to reset is turn the key lock.

Not if it was stuck.

Do you notice your inside lights coming on when it happens and possibly even you locks cycling? If so, it is more than likely that your door switch is sticking and/or pushed in too far.
