The stands are rated 3 ton per pair, not 3 ton for a single stand. Still, 6000 lbs combined is fine.

I have both the 3 ton and 6 ton. If more height is needed to get underneath for this or that and have plenty of room, the 6 tons go higher.

So, suppose you need to take your wheels off.....

Gee I'm sure glad I didn't try to hold a 7,000+ pound SUV on these stands. Anyway my floor jack only goes so high and the 3-ton work with it, adequate clearance for the work I typically do. But good to know the 6-ton pairs go higher if needed Thanks

Whoops, I missed the unit error too. Why does a ton have to be 2000 lbs?

So:

3 ton per two pairs == 12000 lbs
6 ton per two pairs == 24000 lbs
