Aftermarket Fuel Injection -MegaSquirt
Newbie here, searched the C4 forums for a related thread...nuttin, so...
Anybody convert their C4 LT1 to MegaSquirt MS3 ?
Looking for a good switched power source under the hood.
I already have LTCC coil on Plug system installed and want to work from there.

Call Jon at FIC look to the right fuel injection connection.

https://www.diyautotune.com/ I have done business with this company and would do business with them again.Even if you are not using MS they are a good source for connectors and other build you own efi system supplies.I have installed MS on other vehicles and if I wanted a tunable ecm I would use the MS again.The MS2 and MS3 have the optispark position sensor output listed in the set up menu for the software.There was a marine version of the lt1 in the middle 90's that used a toothed wheel on the crank and no optispark unit at all.For a full sequential system you need both cam and crankshaft position sensing.

I have successfully MegaSquirted my 383 Blown LT1 C4. Wow!
It took a bit of research but it was a really fun project.
The MegaSquirt, as I have it currently installed, only drives the injectors (through an Acceleronics LowZ module) at this point but it is capable of doing the Ignition too. That is a later project...
I have worked as an engine calibration engineer (on diesels) but I gotta hand it to the MegaSquirt guys...their product and tools for calibrating are first rate!!! (I don't work for the DIYAutotune Bowling and Grippo guys nor was I given anything to say this either).
The autotune function would have put me out of a job if they had it for diesel. If you think you want to EFI or eliminate your ECM contact me (or them) and I can help talk you through it.
I ended up using 65# injectors, which I think may not be enough...either that or the Aftermarket Fuel pump may need more volume.
I have an oil consumption issue now and believe that it is either the VorTech SC seal or I have bad rings. Going to pull plugs and the SC later today or next week to investigate.
Stand by for more updates.

427 controlled by a MS3/3X. Tried to get the parallel install to work, but could not. Ended up frying the factory ECU.
Took a while to iron everything out, and although I don't have it tuned perfectly, it runs like a bat out of hell. Fine tuning in work ( and this is key to getting the most out of the MS).
Currently have a 36-1 tooth crank trigger, custom Stealth Ram, small cap dist, MSD 6AL My MS is in the storage compartment that is behind the passenger seat.
Megasquirt forum was most helpful.

Mine is the 6 speed manual transmission. Can't help you on the Auto Trans, but I am sure the MS guys got help for that or someone on their Forum can help.
