Default Fan blower motor runs in all speeds but high

My fan blower motor runs in all speeds except high...there it doesn't run at all.

In other speeds it runs, but slower than any car I've ever owned...is this fan particularly week?

I have replaced the resister coil doohickey with no change.

Also, my ac clutch will not engage and thus their is no ac

Any ideas?

Default

You of course don't mention year but I'd say you've got basic MANUAL AC (C60) and you need a HIGH BLOWER RELAY. Most years (likely all) it sits top of or near the blower/evap box very close to the blower resistor(which hints C60) that you've already replaced.

The AC clutch - there's many threads that that explain diagnostics. Search works pretty good in the C4 section using the "SEARCH THIS FORUM" button above the THREADS/POSTS in the C4 generation "sub forum".
