AC Blowing hot air low freon DTC O9 question 93 LT1
One day the AC blows cold next day hot air. DTC 09 code set, low freon. Purchased a 20oz can of ACPro at Kragen, compressor not engaging. Added some freon compressor still not engaging. Checked clutch jumped to battery, clutch engages, left clutch engaged and added freon to system till low side at 45 psi. Disconnected jumper, AC still blowing hot air and compressor not engaged. Checked fuses, relay everything good. Next step jumped the pressure cycling switch, compressor clutch engaged.
With the pressure switch jumped and freon reading at 45 psi should the AC be blowing cold air? It's still blowing hot!
My thinking was the pressure switch was not closing, but why would the air still blow hot when switch jumped?
The compressor was rebuilt 2,000 miles ago (2 years ago) and converted to 134A.
Any thoughts? I'm thinking the compressor is not pumping freon thru the system, maybe compressor has taken a dump!
Thanks
