By the way, Goodwrench fixed my '90 which was barely running for about $800 by replacing 2 injectors. It only lasted about 500 miles and then a couple of more failed. When I asked why not replace them all as long as you were in there, the answer was "we don't want to charge people with old cars too much"

So I've got 2 new GM injectors I'll give to anyone who needs them for postage. I believe the GM P/N is19244618. If you want 6 original Multechs as well just put in more postage.

I'll pass. But Thanks. Introduces another variable into the troubleshooting equation.
You can not rebuild a fuel injector at least one for EFI a Lucas mechanical one you can.

They describe them on their web site as "Rebuilt", which means they are not new. That's all I can tell ya.

Fuel P Reg is fresh rebuilt... did it myself using the AC Delco kit.

Pretty straight forward.... don't think I could have messed it up.

FYI- I also purchased the overhaul parts from fuel injector rehab... O-rings, pintle caps, filters and ran solvent through them before I reassembled them. Tested the coils, but no pressure test. This may be what the term "rebuilt" means.... but don't quote me on that.

They may say "rebuilt" but Jon at FIC and his crew does a great job with these injectors. There are lots of CF member who use them in their C4's and they work great with stock engines and with modded engines. I ran them in my '87 for 5 years with absolutely no problems at all. I sold the car a year ago and it's still running fine with those injectors installed.

Just my $.02 worth, but I think for what you are doing with your engine, the FIC injectors are well worth it. Did you watch any of the videos on the FIC website?

No... didn't even look for video's.

I just tore the entire top end off my L98, rehabbed it, and reinstalled it. The poor running had me second guess myself (since I thought the injectors were ok) and I tore it down again to check my timing gear install job. Now I have to tear it down again to do the injectors.... I'll stick with new ones. Tearing it down is getting kinda old. The car was due for inspection in September.... NC hits you with a fine for being late, plus now I'm working outside in December. Enough is enough. Taking no chances.... buying new injectors.

Was the metal button smooth and shiny polished? There was a bad run of them.

It was in perfect shape... I was actually kinda disgusted with myself for spending the $50. Looked like it didn't need any TLC. In my guesstimation, the regulator was fine as is. Oh well.

My whole point is to call things what they are used cleaned with new O-rings and filters vs. new.

FIC does a before and after test. Before I sent a batch or two, I had it tested locally by a friend at a tech college so I know what I am getting. His "before" roughly matched what I sent him in the report. Tested the "after" and it pretty much matched what he said in the report. Random tests and I am reasonably sure he did what he said he did. Clean and test. Without that, you are guessing what happens with what you did.

I purchased a AC Delco #88894338 but have not installed it. My fuel pressure gauge is attached to the port until I get this all sorted out... then I'll give the 88894338 a shot.

FYI- The Accel have these markings:
01D1048 24 LB/HR 0976
The pintle cap is steel and integral with the tip instead of plastic snap-on like OEM.
There are 3 "jet holes" in the tip, and no exposed pintle sticking out.

jic someone was curious.

Probably EV6 injector series and labeled with n auto manufacturer part number. Bosch part numbers are typically 3 groups of 3 digits IE XXX-XXX-XXX and may have a letter at the end typically B for a motorsports part.
