This is great! I had an '82 with the XFire prior to my '91 and I always wondered what the Renegede would be like.

FWIW...

Change out your fuel pump to a '85-"89 model. It has an automatic 16 PSI
Advance the timing as far as she will take it- your engine will LOVE the advance

Well done! You have made me re-think getting another XFire- I loved mine!

WOW! Looks great. Would love to see the final pull gain after mods. So it looks like you are around a 31hp gain so far, not bad and the is just about the average gain. Some are slightly more, so you could eek out a couple more ponies...still not bad though. Enjoy!

Ill make it back over to the dyno sooner or later, its just that its a 40 minute drive and at $80/3pulls I want to make sure every thing is set up perfect before I go again

I really do need to bite the bullet though so I can make sure the FP doesn't drop at high RPM

I know what you mean, I wish I had all the cash I've spent on my 82 on a dyno and on Jim's 84 for beta testing and other tuning.

I would watch that fuel pressure gauge during a pull to ensure its not dropping off at WOT redline. Are you running 13lbs now? If it starts dropping off, get the TPI pump and leave the pressure at 13lbs.

I'm going to send you a PM also.
