I just stumbled onto this today......very impressive.

So I've read most of the thread, are their any plans to work with 92-96 body styles? I have a 40th and am looking to upgrade my older head unit i.e. not bose system in the near future.

If you already been asked/answered.....sorry about the dupe question.

Thx.

I've received several requests for this but since I don't have access to a later C4 model or any of the wiring diagrams, it would be pretty difficult for me to do. But, because I'm posting all the information and software I have as "open-source" I'm hoping that someone will take what I've provided and adapt it to the later C4 cars.

If you are talking about the wiring diagram for the Comvette volume control, I need to document that. As soon as I have it I'll post it. It's pretty amazing how much still remains to be documented.

The Raspberry Pi 2 should be OK.

I'm really hoping someone will take my project and adapt it to the later C4's. That's not something I can take on right now. but I'll pm you. I am interested to learn more about the later BOSE systems.

I got your PM. I will send you an email tomorrow. I can probably help work through a system, I am still slowly working on the ALDL on the arduino, but it is a bit more challenging than the older cars.

I will have to take a hard look at this, I have the skills just not the bandwidth...the issue comes from getting the plates done for it.....would we be able to use your resources to get plexi cut or whatever to create the frames like you had done?

That is the part that I worry about the most in something this. The coding and hardware are straight forward from what I read.

LMK and if so, what would prototyping the shapes cost?

Default Back from the dead

Sorry to revive this, but wondering how difficult it would be to streamline the code. I have been doing a similar project for a C5, and would want to just bring in the infotainment functions. No OBD or seat stuff. Maybe retain the GPS or maybe just implement an Android Auto receiver function. This is way more polished than what I have.

How did this end up?

I have a suggestion for the display panel. Cut the labels in the vinyl overlay and light the acrylic panel with an led tied to the light switch.
