What year did Corvette start having airbags?

Default What year did Corvette start having airbags?
I have a 1989 Does it have air bags?

'90 was first year for driver's side.

'94 was first year for passenger side.

Actually it was 1953 when the first Corvette owner took his wife for a ride and she began to issue instructions.

On one car I had, the driver's side said "SRS" and the passenger side said "airbag". I

gave my wife a hard time about it and a number of times she would hit me out of the blue when she remembered it.
