Is there any way to unplug the tcc lockup from the 700r4 without jacking up the vette ?

Disconnect it from your brake switch.

..... Better yet , wire the brake switch through a toggle switch in case you decide to use the TCC on demand .....

I was looking to see if the tcc lockup was the issue for a shudder around 40mph. My local mechanic found a burnt ignition coil from the manifold causing a misfire, runnin' on 7 instead of 8 cylinders.

I did this a very long time ago. Always remember to turn it on when I get on the highway.

You can just slightly press the brake pedal, that cuts the TCC lock off while touching the brake pedal for a test.

Here is the wiring diagram from my 85 shop manual, should be the same on the 86.

You can go to the brake switch or ecm for a toggle switch?
