long oil stick tube??
I am hoping someone can answer this question for me. I have a 1994 Corvette
VIN 1G1YY22P2R5107979 with 95K miles and I believe that the LT-1 motor is a transplant. I contacted all the previous owners and no one has any knowledge of the motor being replaced. Normally that is the end of the story, but the transmission has been completely painted bright red which is not common for GM but is indicative of a rebuild or replacement. I believe that between owners an undocumented “Flip” was done with the car and possibly the motor and transmission was changed.
The reason I think the motor was changed is because of the position of the Oil Stick Tube, it is a lot longer than what I have seen on other C-4 Vettes. I am hoping that someone can recognize the longer oil stick tube and identify what the motor came out of.
Yes I have endlessly looked for the motor stamped VIN numbers and can not find the them, all I was able to find were numbers stamped on the front right of the block, which were V0924WHF. So Please take a look at the picture and notice how much taller the oil stick tube is, Is it C-4 correct ???
Thanks

Looks to be a F body engine. WHF - I'm quite sure of but that's just from Internet sources so ............
Pull the dipstick and there should be a part# stamped on the stick. That might be considered maybe a confirmation.
Pull the stick for the transmission also and that should be identifiable also. The transmission codes on the case rail would ID only the source of the case and not the transmission internal BUT it might prove interesting.
