I didn't get a key fob when I bought this car, never knew about an alarm. Somehow when I locked and shut my door today the horn started blowing, so I took my key and unlocked the door and it stopped. Does anyone know the rpo code for it?

I was going to have an alarm installed because I didn't think it had one, 249.00 installed with proxmitity sensor, would it be the better route to go?

$249 installed in comparison is a better deal. Providing the tech does quality installs. Keep in mind, all of the stories realated to radio / alarm experts hacking the harness creating electrical nightmares.
The OE keyfobs have been selling for $150. That's a setback. I believe a few used fobs are listed on ebay. A positive, the OE alarm is pretty good.
