Wondering what potential area's should I be concerned about in the next 10K miles? Any preventive steps I should consider taking?

For me, I'd change the fluids (as noted above) and keep an eye on it. Meaning give it the "eyeball inspection" after driving it. Do this for a couple of months, or until you get confident.
As you pressurize the dormant systems, you can expect (and most likely) will get a few leaks. The rubber is old so you need to keep an eye on it. Look for rubber that is "squishy" when cold as that means the insides are beginning to break down.
