After the leak repair is made Hopefully the Motor is not too bad off, But without pulling the pan and pulling cap's and Plasti-Gauging them you can't be totally sure. But if you take the oil filter that was on during the Leak cut it open and look for Bearing Materials in the filter and move on from there on what to do next. Either pulling the pan and Possibly re-shelling bottom end or throwing an Oil change in and pulling the new filter in a couple Hundred Mile and Inspecting it For Bearing Material's

As some have mentioned keep an eye on the pressure and Be Optimistic.

Think you said it is a 96, then it has an oil level sensor in the oil pan and would have shut down if you were low enough to cause damage

The level sensor doesn't do that. All it does is close a circuit to the BCM...the BCM illuminates the "low oil" light. Engine will keep running until it seizes.

well I got the car back. And it's runs and drives just fine. But now the engine temp is a lot higher. It used to be steady at 185 and not go over 205. Now it's stays at 220 around there. And if I'm stopped at a red light the temp just gets hotter. I noticed the upper radiator hose was very PLUMP or just expanded more than its normal size. So basically it runs and drives and starts up just fine but overheats when sitting idle for awhile. So I'm guessing there is some engine damage.

Oil temp is a little higher than the engine temp at all times. Thermostat is new as of last October.

220 is perfectly fine and normal for an LT1. I guess the concern may be that if it used to run consistently cooler so something must have changed.
