Default Opinions On Disconnecting Coolant Line From 89 C4 TPI Throttle Body

Any opinions on disconnecting or reconnecting an already disconnected coolant line on 89 C4 TPI Throttle Body?Would it be a better decision to recconnect it or will the engine perform better with it did connected?Any other issues related to this?

It should remain connected, are you having idle issues?

I think the car is running a little rough/ may have a slight mis.It was suggested that I change the injectors, they are mismatched.(just bought the car(used). Was looking into changing the injectors,cleaning/ rebuilding the throttle body. The previous owner said that he had deleted the IAC line .I have heard that deleting the IAC will make the intake cooler and give the car more horsepower and that it isn't necessary except in cold climates to warm the intake.I just wanted to hear some opinions on this.

I think you and he may be talking about the coolant bypass mod to the lower throttle body plate.

He is not referring to the IAC motor, that helps regulate your idle.

The line he referred to was the coolant line that goes into the Throttle Body, which was meant to heat the plates up on cold mornings in very cold climates. This can safely be disconnected.

Yes,I think I am confused about how/where air and coolant circulate through the throttle body.
