I'm fishing for info, trying to learn how tolerant the ecm on the cross fire engine is to camshaft and other engine changes. I want to run my cross fire injection system, looking for answers of what needs to be done to it to run on a 9to 1 383cid engine with good flowing heads and headers. Looking for advise on cam selection that this ecm will run with that is better than the stock cam profiles. I know that the ecm prom can be changed with one that has modified perimeter's not trying to jack your tread hear, just seeking advise

You should start a new thread...but w/that increase in displacement, a mild can should be fine w/bigger injectors. I ran a SBC 400, 224/234 cam, ported intake on the stock ECM/chip/tune. low 13's/24mpg, stock like idle. It can work.

OP, I probably wouldn't change springs for a cam that mild, but most would probably disagree with me. I'm cheap and like to push things. If you get valve float, you can always go back and change springs later.
