Lt1 supercharged- best oil/filter?
Hi there, I'm new here and have a question for you. Do you think '95 Corvette LT1 with V1 Vortech supercharger needs some other oil than the stock engine? Do I have to use standard oil filter, for example WIX 51036, or would you reccomend me something better, lets say MOBIL M1201 which has bigger capacity? This is the firt generation of vortech superchargers and they use the same oil as engine.
Thanks, Adam

You will be fine with the standard oil filter but bigger will not hurt and if it gives you piece of mind put it in.
What oil are you using? Mobil 1, if so that is fine.

Use any name brand synthetic oil and a quality oil filter, and stick with the 5w30 recommended for your LT1. No need to use super expensive boutique stuff.
If you are racing this car, the same applies, just change the oil and filter more often.

I have a much more built motor and I still use Rotella T6. I just change it every 750-1000miles. More for inspection than anything and it always comes out clean.
T6 is cheap. Filters I run whatever performance one is on sale. Wix gold, K&N, RP, etc.
